Unlike most other stations, MOTMax is an unbiased MOT Testing facility. It is unbiased because we ONLY carry out MOT Tests. We do NOT repair, service or maintain cars and for this reason, we have no vested interest in failing a vehicle in anticipation of being commissioned to carry out any work. AND DONT FORGET, WITH ‘NO PASS - NO PAY’ BECAUSE WE DO NOT CHARGE UNITL AND UNLESS YOUR VEHICLE IS ISSUED WITH AN MOT CERTIFICATE, WE ACTUALLY WANT YOU VEHICLE TO PASS AS MUCH AS YOU DO!
It is for this reason that you often see MOT's being advertised at heavily discounted prices. You may see "Phil and Grant under the Arches" doing £25 MOT's, but the only way they can make a profit from this is by cutting corners or carrying out unnecessary repairs.
The fact that we are unbiased is reflected in our pass rate, which is significantly higher than the National Average (which incidentally means there must be garages with a lot lower pass rate too). Your vehicle won't fail with us unless it HAS to.
All of our MOT Testers operate
strictly within VOSA Testing Guidleines. However, where
there is clearly MOT Tester discretion upon an item
of wear or damage, our testers are under absolutely
no pressure to fail vehicles and will therefore wherever
possible and safe in their opinion to do so, log such
items as advisory, but will not constitute a fail at
the time of inspection.
If your vehicle does fail
its MOT Test, there is no retest fee applicable if it
is brought back within 10 working days.
